The Ishikawa or fishbone diagram is a visual representation of cause and effect relationships. It is simple to use, yet very effective in improving a process and the quality of a product or service. With its continuous implementation,
an organization can be proactive in determining any process shortcoming and address problems quickly and accurately.
On the other hand, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA) is a step-by-step approach for identifying all possible failures in a design, a manufacturing or process, of a product or service.
This workshop follows a step-by-step method for conducting FMEA. Each learner will have the opportunity to develop all the elements of a Process FMEA. Learners will learn how to assess risk and determine the levels of risk that trigger mitigation actions.
