Alex is one of Malaysia's top language and soft skills trainers.
Over the last five years he has trained staff at all levels from organisations including Air Asia, Astro, Petronas, Shell and the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs.
He has a reputation for high energy, rewarding and effective training. Clients point to his engaging style of training, the experience and talent he brings to the table, and his understanding of Malaysian learners.
Underpinning these qualities are his philosophy of learning, which comes from Gandhi: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever”.
Alex began his career with the Department of Trade and Industry in London as an advisor on company insolvency. He has always been passionate about Asia and has travelled extensively, teaching in Thailand and Japan, as well as Malaysia, where he was Senior Trainer at the British Council's Professional Development Unit.
After five years, Alex founded Mango Training and Consultancy in order to provide top quality training services tailored specifically to Malaysian business.
Alex has written a wide range of courses and training materials. He continues to write each month for the Star Newspapers Communic8 column.
