Certified Events Manager (CEM) Work-Based Validation Programme

In recognition of your past experience in managing events, we are pleased to provide the CEM Work-Based Validation programme. This fast-track route to certification will give you certain exemptions to the normal CEM programme. You will be validated based on your past working experience as Events Manager and if you qualify, if you will be awarded the  “Certified Events Manager” certification.

Key objectives of this work-based validation is to obtain necessary proofs of your qualification and experience as Events Manager before the certification can be awarded.

You will need to show that:

• that you understand and have the necessary knowledge of the entire basic event management process
• that you are able to apply the process and some of the key tools, systems and techniques in events management to an actual event  (practising and applying what you have learned or knowledge that you have acquired)
• that you can prepare the relevant documentations and paperwork required for events (which will show your level of understanding, knowledge and application of relevant systems and documentations)
• that you have the skills and knowledge as the Event Manager (project leader) to manage a live

Basically you are demonstrating:

• concept & planning skills
• preparation of required documents
• implementation & on-site management skills (setup & process flow)
• leadership & teamwork
