Many people with little or no relevant training find themselves assigned to positions in the accounts sections of their organizations. A basic knowledge of bookkeeping principles, concepts, frameworks and reporting requirements is important for anyone who is already in or likely to be posted to their accounts division.
Over the two-day program, participants will be introduced to the various components of a full set of accounts, including financial statements, general ledger, and subsidiary ledgers. They will also learn about the accounting cycle and how to apply it in practice.
Throughout the program, participants will engage in interactive activities and case studies to reinforce their understanding of the concepts taught. The program will also cover important accounting principles, such as the accrual basis of accounting and the matching principle.
