Outline

Why You Should Attend

You should attend if you would like to gain in-depth understanding of the fundamentals of oil and gas field development, and want to get an awareness of a broad range of modern reservoir engineering principles and practices for reservoir development and production, including the estimation of oil and gas reserves.

Who Should Attend

This course is applicable for professionals with prior technical or engineering exposure to exploration and production activities. Targeted participants include new Reservoir Engineers, Production Engineers, Petrophysicists, Geologists involved with exploration and development of oil & gas reservoirs. The course is also useful for Petroleum Engineering team leaders, IT staff and support staff working with reservoir engineering, development and production departments.

What You Will Learn

By attending, you will be able to:

  • Extend subsurface skills for integrated analysis of rocks, pore and fluids
  • Predict oil and gas reservoir performance using different techniques.
  • Solve problems associated with determination of recoverable reserves
  • Understand various methods to enhance recovery
  • Apply tools for analysis of the underlying uncertainty and assumptions used in many reservoir analysis techniques
  • Understand approaches to analyse and model fluid flow and reservoir behaviour
  • Gain knowledge about various recovery methods from primary to enhanced recoveries.
  • Understand the role of petroleum economics in evaluating reservoir development projects.
