Published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in March 2018, ISO 45001 marks a significant step in the overall effort to improve occupational health and safety standards worldwide. The new standard enables organisations to proactively improve injury prevention and reduce ill-health, while protecting the organisation’s longevity.
ISO 45001 supersedes the OHSAS 18001 standard, which was first introduced in 1999 and revised in 2007, replacing it as the primary international standard for OH&S management systems. Organisations which currently hold OHSAS 18001 certification now have three years to re-certify to meet the requirements of the ISO 45001 standard.
This one day course reviews all of the ISO 45001:2018 requirements. The goal is to spend a limited amount of time on introductions and transition but to spend the full value of the course reviewing the requirements. The review will cover interpretation, application, minimum compliance, best practice, evidence, auditing, and so forth.
Through this seminar, you will get an insight on the requirements of the new ISO 45001 to better prepare your organization and your organization to transit smoothly to the new standard.

Speaker/s
Ms. Jovenne graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Chemistry. She is actively involved in the training and consultancy works, specializing in conducting trainings related to ISO 9001, ISO 1400, OHSAS 18001, ISO/TS 16949, ISO/IEC17025 and others management systems. To date, she has successfully consulted various local and multi-national companies that lead to ISO certifications through her comprehensive yet effective consultancy approach.
Ms. Jovenne has a wide spectrum of industrial experiences. The type of industries that she had provided training, consultancy and auditing services include but not limited to ship building and repairing, petrochemical, bulk chemical storage, wood/forestry industries and others. Besides providing consultancy on management system, she is also the specialist in the area of Malaysia’s Environmental, Safety and Health Law.
In addition, Ms. Jovenne is an experienced auditor. She is the certified EMS Lead Auditor by IEMA, UK as well as IRCA,UK. She attended and passed the Lead Auditor trainings for Quality (IRCA, UK), Occupational Health and Safety (IRCA, UK) Management Systems and 2nd. Party Auditing for Technical Specification ISO/TS16949 (SMMT) of automobile industries.
