The Rafelsia Homeschooling Coordination programme was launched as a result of numerous requests from parents for a programme that is unique in its flexibility to balance and meet the needs of gifted and diverse learners.

Many years of research has been conducted to fine tune the academic and architectural details which we consider to be pivotal in creating comfortable, home-like classrooms and an environment conducive for learning.

So whether your children are of preschool age or high school going, the Rafelsia Homeschooling Coordination programme is a rewarding experience that offers a realistic alternative to traditional, institutional based learning.

Here, our gifted and diverse learners are able to flourish and thrive uninterrupted by the confines of mainstream limitations.

Outline

The Rafelsia Homeschool Coordination programme, follows the British National Curriculum for primary aged learners. In addition, due to the special aptitudes our learners have, we follow a modified version of the Malaysian National Mathematics curriculum. At present time, our medium of instruction is in English. We offer Bahasa Malaysia in its spoken form to all learners.

Older learners the opportunity to pursue specific subjects offered by accredited colleges in the UK, US and Australia through our coordination programme. Learners over the age of 16 years are encouraged to explore new horizons with our continued support by embarking on short online learning courses.

No two days are alike. Learners enrolled in the Rafelsia Homeschooling Coordination programme are not restricted to age based curriculums but instead are encouraged to capitalize on their own learning potential. When motivated and interested, a child's ability to learn is extraordinary! All learners have their materials tailored to meet their specific learning styles therefore, enabling us to maximise their learning outcomes. Most of our learners, due to ability levels, and rigid teaching methods employed in large classrooms are not able to attend mainstream school and maximise their potentials at the same time.

Although encouraged to pursue their own interests, learning therapists are always nearby, to ensure that time is being used responsibly and that all areas of the curriculum are being explored in a personalised manner.

Welcome to Sri Rafelsia. Here you have found a leading educational provision which celebrates diversity in learning. In fact, we embrace it. We believe that each child is unique and therefore has his or her own way of processing information. Once a good set of foundation skills are acquired, children are then empowered to acquire other complex skills such as problem solving, memory, concentration, comprehension, sequential thinking and organisation of thought as they proceed to primary, secondary and tertiary education levels.

Be a part of a privileged inner circle whose mission is to nurture, support and respect the dignity of children with diverse learning styles, talents, giftedness and abilities. From gifted and talented learning, dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, hyperlexia, other non-specified literacy difficulties to ADD or ADHD, from young learners with speech delays and mild cognitive delays, we offer a range of customised programmes that would suit any high functioning learner (above average IQ or IQ above 105 where normal range is 95-105).
