In line with the revision of ISO9001:2015, IATF has announced the publication of quality management system requirement for automotive industry as IATF 16949:2016. To align with the high-level structure of Annex SL, total
10 clauses of the requirement by adopting the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA Cycle) concept.
IATF 16949:2016 emphasis on the framework of process approach with risk based thinking and consideration for customer specific requirements. This Automotive QMS Standard defines the quality management system requirements
for the design and development, production and, when relevant, assembly, installation, and services of automotive-related products, including products with embedded software. It’s applicable to sites of the organization where manufacturing of customer-specified
production parts, service parts, and/or accessory parts occur and throughout the automotive supply chain.
The goal of this Automotive QMS standard is the development of a quality management system that provides for continual improvement, emphasizing defect prevention and the reduction of variation and waste in the supply chain.
With the right approach of interpretation and application of IATF16949, this training course will be presented with detailed explanation of the requirements for ease of understanding and practical activities to document
and apply the system.
