Research has shown that organizations that develop their employees’ strengths grow faster and are more resilient to market forces. When employees are provided training on what they are good at, they see it as a reward; as opposed to as a punishment if they are provided training on what they are weak at. When employees see training and development as a reward, they are more receptive and therefore better able to benefit from the training provided.

ABOUT HRD GATEWAY
HRD Gateway (www.hrdgateway.org) is the parent organization for HRD Gateway Sdn Bhd
HRD Gateway is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to human resource and organizational development excellence, and with over 50,000 members worldwide.
We use a networking approach to bring together HRD professionals and provide development services at all levels. We define HRD professionals as all those who can contribute positively to their workplace and the communities in which they live.
HRD Gateway serves to establish a global network to bridge the digital divide, to support economy development, to enable lifelong learning, and to raise the work and life styles of ASEAN and the global communities.
We do this by organizing, supporting, and directly operating education, training, information dissemination, and research programs for local businesses, corporations, government agencies, organizations, and individuals. We also partner strategically with all those whose activities match our program goals.
We have formed alliances with China HRM, HRinIndia, HR Brunei, HR Cambodia, HR Indonesia, HR Laos, malaysiaHRonline, HR Myanmar, HR Philippines, HR Singapore, HR Sri Lanka, HR Thailand, HR Vietnam, HR Pakistan, HR Maldives, Taiwan Society of Training and Development, Silicon Valley Association of Startup Entrepreneurs International, Partners, and HumanTalents International. Together, we represent a grouping of over 50,000 HRD and business professionals.
Our Founding President is Thomas Wong, who is based in San Jose. Our current President is Genting Highlands-based G K Lim, while Colombo-based Jayadeva de Silva is the Immediate Past President, and our Past Presidents are Bangalore-based Raghav Rao and
the late Major (R) Teoh Teng Hai.
