This course enables participants to learn about the best practices for implementing and managing a Road Traffic Safety Management System (RTSMS) as specified in ISO 39001:2012, as well as the best practices for determining road traffic safety performance factors. The participant will learn the different components of an RTSMS, including required procedures, measuring performance, management’s commitment, internal audit, management review and continual improvement.

Day 1: Introduction to Road Traffic Safety Management System (RTSMS) concepts as required by ISO 39001
- Introduction to ISO 39001 standard
- Introduction to management systems and the process approach
- Fundamental principles of road traffic safety
- General requirements: presentation of the clauses 4 to 10 of ISO 39001
Day 2: Implementing requirements from ISO 39001:2012 and Certification Exam
- Implementation phases of ISO 39001 framework
- Continual improvement of Road Traffic Safety
- Conducting an ISO 39001 certification audit
- Certified ISO 39001 Foundation exam
